Pets

I have two dogs who I love like they're my children. The first one is Jammer, she is a mutt mix of Cocker Spaniel and Terrier and is mostly black with one white paw on her left-front paw. She is 13 years old and although she has mellowed out quite a bit since she was a young pup, she is still very active and loves to go for walks. She's a very independent dog and is too smart for her own good (her nickname is "Jammer the Scammer" because she's so smart)! She knows which cabinet her treats are kept in in the kitchen and often scams you into giving her treats even when someone's just given her one! She is quick too, if you drop some food she's snatching it up before it even hits the ground! She's so smart she knows her directions and can find her way home when we're walking--I don't even have to lead her on the leash, she shows me the way!

My other dog is Ginger-Button. She is a full breed Lasah Apso and is 12-1/2 years old (she and Jammer were puppies together). Ginger has got to be the sweetest dog. I have nicknamed her "My Shadow" because she follows me everywhere. She is the true meaning of unconditional love, she will be at my side no matter what, it doesn't matter what time it is or what I'm doing, she's there. I've also given Ginger a second nick name: Sheeba. I call her that because she is so prim and proper, and prissy. She loves to plop herself up on a pile of pillows like she's the Queen of Sheeba!  She also has to wear her collar--she just thinks she's so cool walking around with it on like it's pure gold. And, she also hogs all the toys; she will grab whichever toy Jammer is playing with regardless of whether or not she wants to play with it; she just wants to keep all the toys to herself. She too loves to go for walks, but she's not quite as smart as Jammer. Ginger would easily get lost if she ever got out of the yard. Her way of getting treats is not by scamming, but rather through being so sweet you just can't help but give her one!
